Instructions for abstract preparation
Abstract Template Materiais 2022
The official language of the Congress is English.
To submit an abstract please use the template and send it to the following e-mail: materiais2022@ipleiria.pt with the subject “Submission”
On submission please tell us if you intend an oral or a poster presentation.
Each participant may submit up to 2 abstracts.
A Book of Abstracts will be available for direct download.
Posters
All posters must be printed in A1 format (vertical). The posters must be brought by the authors and placed in the pre-defined area.

Full Papers
All authors will be invited to prepare and submit their work to a special issue of Materials.
All submissions will be subject to the normal peer review process and if accepted they will receive a 20% discount on the article process charge.
Materials is an open access journal which is indexed in Scopus and currently has an impact factor of 3.623
Prizes
The best paper presented at the Materiais 2022 conference as judged by an international panel will be awarded a certificate and a full waiver fee to publish their paper in Materials. This prize is sponsored by Materials and MPDI the publishers of Materials.
Two further prizes will be provided by the conference.
The best paper presented at the Materiais 2022 Conference which is the work of a student as judged by an international panel will receive a certificate and a prize (300 €).
The best poster paper presented at the Materiais 2022 Conference as judged by an international panel will receive a certificate and a prize (300 €).
Submitted contributions can be published in the following Journal:
The agreement established between SPM (Sociedade Portuguesa de Materiais) and MDPI publisher allows for manuscript submission to a special issue of the open access journal Materials (Impact Factor: 3.623 (2020); ISSN 1996-1944) with a special discount on the APCs (to be announced).
